The ring bulb in my magnifier burned out and got hot enough to melt the plastic around it. I went in search of a new bulb with no luck. Looked all over for a whole new magnifier and there is none in town either. Did I mention that I live in the stix.
I ran across a set of three under the cabinet lights that stirred my brain a little. Did I mention that I hate being without my magnifier. I figure that when I get somewhere to buy a new one these lights will be a good replacement for some of the lighting in my trailer. This is the result.

The light is all coming from one side but I can suffer through that.

Don't forget to check Amazon, or Ebay etc. Living in the sticks, we get a lot of packages ...

I'm not exactly in the sticks, but Peter and I have found that we end up ordering a lot online because no one around here seems to have what we want or need half the time. Try finding organic Mirin or other Asian ingredients without corn syrup or some of the other things I'm allergic to - near impossible. We go online and we can find it where the Asian grocery didn't have half what we needed unless we wanted to settle for stuff laden with preservatives, food dyes and corn derived products that were pretty much guaranteed to make me ill.
Seriously, you might find your lightbulb online.

Sticks is relative. I could drive an hour in to the city to get stuff, but why would I? Of course, three hours each way to look at a rock saw, that ain't nothin'! It's a matter of priorities.

Nice fix on the light Jim!

Oh Sara it is nice of you to say that but there are many many things I can not fix. I can not fix a broken sandwich and I can not fix a nice dinner for you but I can fix it so my son will.
I can not fix a cloudy sky
when you want to see the moon
I can not fix an up turned nose
or a dish that ran away with the spoon
