Sand in massive amounts everywhere is killing collecting on the island but a set of large swells hit one point and I was there as the tide receded. Lots of cool rocks which were largely buried again by the next day. I had packlitic light with me ( lithic strings) so I had to choose carefully because she is a member of that society that is north of sixty so we have imposed strict weight limits on her backpack. This jade has a very impressive brown rind richer in color than any brown rind jade I have ever handled. It will be interesting to see what is inside. It is about a foot across.

Glad to hear you and mrs lithic had a good day at the beach!

Yowser!!!, I wouldn't want that nestled into the small of my back for very long either...

Wow is that some reddish color in there too? I would love to go rock hunting with you and the missus:)
I actually thought about moving to Washington State just recently:)

It wasn't lonely in the pack! It had a buddy
-
Gotta love the buddy system :-)
-
Ditto! All rocks have to have buddies. :D
Cannot wait to see you slice this one Open Frank!

A foot across, and it had a buddy for the walk home? Sounds like the weight limits are not much of a limit at all! :headbang:
Nice piece though, can't wait to see it cut.
