Last time I went out bead shopping with Gina I grabbed up these guys...
First photo shows both sets. Top set is labeled Amazonite. Bottom set is labeled Denim Lapis.
I have some doubts as to these ID's as I have never seen Denim Lapis the likes of this nor have I seen Amazonite banded and almost translucent in parts as it is on this pendant.
Color of the pics is a touch off, taken inside at night. The Denim Lapis has a touch of a green tint to it which is really weird to me.

The " amazonite" looks like a mica quartz schist which often has green. The other rock looks like a high grade metamorphic rock , probably a type of amphibolite.

Thanks Frank. I knew you'd have a good idea that they weren't what they are labeled to be.
The women that run the bead shop are sweet people, older ladies that are retired. Sadly I think their suppliers have taken this to mean, "Easy to sell them stuff with a wrong or misleading label and make money."
