New cabs today
« on: February 19, 2017, 05:37:24 PM »

Cut some cabs today and some from some local material,   Going to post a couple pics to make sure I am doing this right,  please let me know if I am correct in how I am posting,   And if anyone has an idea of what the material in the cabs would be ....

The top one is definitely feldspar crystals in  a basalt like matrix.

I agree with the first one being feldspar in basalt.  The second one looks like brecciated jasper with quartz running through it.  Nice color, but you may want to work on that orange peel.
