So are you a fan of Phish?  I got into them in early '90 before they got huge.  I was lucky enough to see them in a really small venue just about the time the album 'Rift' came out.  Like really small...maybe 1000 people in a gymnasium with no chairs.  They actually played some acoustic songs with Fishman on a washboard, Trey on an acoustic guitar, and Mike and Page only doing vocals. Literally no mics or amps involved, the room was that small.  After that show I never saw them in anything smaller than an arena.

Oh, and when my wife and I met in '93 one of the first things we ever did together was drive to Laguna Seca, CA for the 'Laguna Seca Daze' music festival.  It was late May of that year I believe.  Phish was a headliner there that weekend.  I have awesome (if very hazy, lol) memories of that weekend.

The origin of my name?  Let's just say it is from my college years.  We'll leave it at that.

I forget how I came up with mine.

As a side note when my wife and I were earlier in our marriage and she wanted an email name I gave her "rockwidow"

While pondering on a name, I'd been following an ongoing argument (another forum) about whether you can call yourself a silversmith if you don't make teapots or a goldsmith if you don't work in gold. I thought, "it doesn't matter, I'm just a woman with a torch, making whatever I want."  Of course I was a lapidary first but "woman with a pixie and some saws" didn't have much ring to it.

As an aside, I know womanwithatorch may seem odd name in parts of the world where flashlights are called torches. I've wondered, if flashlights are called torches, what are torches called?

Hi All

Back is because no matter how many times I have been kicked down I keep coming Back. I have always had a love for jewelry and was going to school for it before I got run over by a car.

now 30+ years later I have an office that is being remodeled and a shop that is starting to get more tool even if I have to modify them.

So I am Back again doing what I love.

Bless
