Yet another thank you for a great trip report. I love the desert, and your trip looked like a blast.

It's always fun to befriend those random strangers on the road. Several years ago, I traveled the coast highway in California, and every night before dark I set up a bar with lights and music in my campground spot. Invited all the neighbors. Turned a lonely campground experience into a family. Funny how many folks are just waiting for an invitation to be friendly.
