I only have a little bit of fire showing now because I was afraid I would go too far with the big burr.

Even if it turns out that there is little or no fire in there, dont give up. I just bought a wonderful piece from Donald Mathingly that has no fire at all, but he used the colours that are there to a stunning effect.


So dont only look for fire only, there are lots of other possibilities whit that material.

I am amazed by carvings that have more than one color and they are made into different parts of the carving. You have to be able to see way past the point where you are with the carving. Not something I have learned to do.
