Knowing where it came from I think it is.    I'm thinking it could be a fluorite as it was quite soft

I can't tell if it is translucent because the bottom right and mid top left look like you could be looking thru the stone at the background.  If it looks like Quartz with mineral crystals floating I would suggest also maybe Actinolite in Quartz.  Found these in a google image search.  I also think Seraphinite is a good candidate however I have not seen it personally in translucent Quartz only as solid material.

This looks like the man made Bridewell stones going around on facebook groups. Not sure if it is, As I have never seen the material in person. And only seen it finished cabochons online.
Just do a search on facebook for "Bridewell stone" and you will see lots of examples. It is similar some say to Victoria stone but not made by the same man.
