Slabbing finally...

Rains have let up,so drug the saw out to cut a few.......Some Ohio Flint Ridge...Moss agate,green-Arizona jasper-yellow moss agate-Arizona agate...More yellow moss,from Arizona..

hey, the third picture, green moss agate. where did that come from? I got a rock that I made a sphere out of that looks just like that. I got it form a friend of mine, it was collected by her father many years ago and she has saved all of his rocks. He was so worried about his rocks and what would happen to them when he died. She has pieces of pet wood that that must weigh 500 lb  she wouldn't let me take one to sphere.

I got a few more to slab,than I will cook a batch up,the colors should really pop than........

Cook a batch up?  Do you literally heat it to enhance the colors?  I haven't heard about doing that for Ohio Flint.

I am guessing the green mossy may be from Horse Canyon. I was just working with a similar piece a few days ago.

Yes,I heat it up in an old turkey cooker...........A buddy of mine gave me the heat recipe.....It's easier to knapp too...(as my friends tell me)..
