First attempt at layered landscapes
« on: February 20, 2023, 01:50:48 PM »

This is a small doublet of "garden quartz" in the foreground, and turquoise in the back. It turned out much less interesting than how i imagined it. The mossy inclusion in the quartz was supposed to look like some shrubs, whereas turquoise and its limonite were meant to suggest mountains, skies, and a lake... Glued them together with clear epoxy.

Now i am hunting for better transparent or translucent materials to try and create nicer-looking landscape images by layering.

It may not be exactly what you were aiming for, but I like it.  It's very pretty.  Sometimes you have to experiment a little before you get the effect you want.
