who all is going?
Im thinking about going to blewett in search of imperial jasper at the miners rally.
There is a couple sellers (was a couple years ago atleast) with some nice sized rocks

That the only rocks i am interested in purchasing. i hope they have some.

 He made it and we allmet up and sorted through rock and used equipment.I got  a slant cabber and a monster vibe tumbler and lots of polychrome jasper as did Gergis and Phishy gave us slabs from rock he collected and some large pieces of what used to be called Teanaway jade which is now rocognized to be a jasper ,  a jasper I have never cut but that will soon change.

Phishisgrooven got some nice imperial jasper, the best with transparent areas.  He also brought rough he collected.  Looking forward to cutting some.  I got some Austraillian opal ire.  Hopefully not too many fractures.    Frank and Gergis know how to look for the best rough and like me go to the bottom of the pile.

Meeting my online buddies face to face was the shizz!

Showing my favorite stone to Helene was awesome, when i got home i cleaned mine up and its better washed!
I will get images up tomorrow, may even cut one!

Got Frank, Gurgles and Miss Helene each nice pieces of my boulder and some other stone slabs too. i forgot alot of what i wanted to take, i hurried out the door too fast.

I am positive frank will be making some killer beads with that teanaway jasper, Its super hard frank lol!

After the sale, gathered up my beautiful woman and two grand daughters and headed over Snoqualmie pass to Blewett for the Gold thingie thing with all the prospecting clubs, i had alot of fun being my smart ass self (club members even got me a club hat with SA #1 on it, my cousin Dan is SA #2 (smart ass #1 & 2.)

I stopped at one of the big gold mines on blewett and got a bag of paydirt i get to pan out tomorrow, supposed to be the best of the bucket (bottom of the barrel).
Hope there is some pickers in it atleast.

You guys are having too much fun.  Helene - you got to go to one of the best sales around, you lucky girl!  Hope everyone scored great rough and posts pics of what you bought.

they had 55 gallon drums full of a grade or better unsearched rock at $20 per bucket.
there was so much cool palm sized rocks in those barrels, there was ALOT of porcelain jasper too.

I was telling one person in line how much of a pleasure imperial was to work with, he got out of line and went to pick more.
Well, after i showed him my pendant lol!

We got the biggest tumbler I've ever seen (slightly broken), a slant cabber which I've been wanting for a long time, a bunch of rocks and various other rockhound goodies.  It was really nice to have Gergis and Helene along - a real treat.
