New and very first cabbing machine
« on: December 24, 2015, 04:17:22 PM »

So preparing  to buy my very first Cab Machine. I was going to get the cab me since it's a saw and grinder but after adding on the extra wheels and stuff I was pushing $1000. So the question to you all is if you had 1000-$1100 to get your first machine what would you recommend? I need trim saw and grinder.

I would buy  a motorless trim saw  and put it on a board with a 1/4 or 1/3 horse motor.or small tile saw .I think a simple arbor like a poly arbor which you can mate with a similar motor is great. I cut commercially with  a similar machine for 30 years. An expando on one side to sand fast and keep some wear off your diamond sanding wheels and the other side for  changing out grinding and sanding wheels. I could change a wheel in about 30 seconds after a few thousands changes so it was not so bad and the cost was what I could afford. Realistically for most folks time is cheap compared to fronting thousands for a cab machine.
