 :headbang: WooHoo for new wheels!

I learned to cab on machines at the local club.  I never realized how worn out their wheels were until I built my own machine.  First time I started grinding on a new set of wheels I was shocked.  A new 80 grit galaxy wheel will eat a piece of agate so fast it'll scare you!

Yay for new wheels!  Just be careful or you might grind your skin off before you realize it.  Those puppies are sharp!

wow!
I mounted this to give it a spin tonight before all the light went away.
Soft stuff first then the quartz from the back of a worthless fire agate,
Then a small piece of deer creek, it ate through beyond the fire in a second, i will have to be VERY careful using this, wasnt a great piece, but fire is fire lol

Randy, take a piece of crap agate and work that wheel with it for like 5 minutes.  You need to knock off the high diamond on that wheel and smooth it out a little.  Otherwise when you're working on a real piece, you could get a very nice gouge on your stone that won't come out without grinding off way more than you wanted.  Any of those DP wheels you need to do that to, even the Nova's.

I did, but i did it gradually from soft to VERY hard agate.
I went from side to side completely with agate i wont do anything with ever as its plain foggy clear & ugly to me....but its VERY hard.
