Cut this one today from the rough I posted in the rough page. Very hard material - took a while to complete grinding. Sanding and polishing were quicker and uneventful. Nice when bone has hard web, makes polishing easy :).

When I was photographing it, my butterfingers dropped it 4' onto a hardwood floor.  :Bash: Thankfully it didn't suffer any damage.

I've never worked with dino bone.  The polish on that piece looks amazing!  It's seamless across the webbing - I wouldn't have expected that. It is beautiful!

Thanks! Dino bone rough varies widely - many pieces have soft web that will undercut badly and/or refuse to take a polish. The good stuff is solid and hard. This one cut just like any agate... I did use a light touch during final sanding and polishing to get as smooth a surface as possible. My favorite bone has fortified cells... Looks like dozens of tiny agates combined in one cab. :)
