Drove out to a local old reservoir and hiked around it for a while two evenings ago. Light was fading so didn't do a ton, and also didn't find much, but there are some small agate deposits in the area. Just mostly enjoyed the scenery (and a random, unexpected picnic dinner by the lake with some neighbors! I crashed their party by accident and they had extra food. :)

This was in a wash behind the reservoir, on top of a pile of rock, all covered in moss and lichen and bearing zero resemblance to the rock around it. Dunno where it came from, but not where I found it!

Small agate pieces. Lots of the teardrop and wedge-shaped agate nodules in a bank near the reservoir.

And a cool sage brush trunk.

Will go back with more daylight and poke around for bigger agates. Picked up some interesting-looking jasper/agate chunks there too but they photographed badly and I'll wait till I have something cut.
