Star Diamond 10" vibratory lap pan and springs
« on: December 12, 2016, 01:14:09 PM »

Hi,

I know that Star Diamond has been out of business for years.  Does anyone know who might have a pan for it or other parts?  It is running fine now but I know I will have to replace these parts.  It is different enough from the Covington unit that I know the pan will not fit.

Any ideas of people with old machinery and parts?

Thanks,
Sid Steinhaeufel

You might check with Barranca.  They took over Star Diamond back when.

There's a complete Star Diamond shaker machine for sale on ebay right now. Don't know the price, but I saw it this morning while doing my daily look for interesting lapidary stuff.

First car I owned was a 1928 Ford Sport Coupe. I'm one of the old school Ford 4 cyl. guys. The coupe I have now has a built 1929 4 banger in it.

If you need the springs that hold the pan down, check your local auto parts store. Throttle return springs are made in many lengths & styles. You just might find the right springs there, or at least something close that will work.
