Seeing color!
« on: January 22, 2017, 04:02:51 PM »

I was taught gold mining by an Uncle of mine in Montana,he had his own gold mine,up by Helena,Montana...
I would always take some pay dirt home and practice, after his lessons on panning...LOL
Now I go where I can to pan color......
Hanging my hat in Oregon now, plenty of areas to pan here....

God,family and life!!

Nice!  That's something I've always wanted to try, but haven't yet.  One of these days I'll cross it off the bucket list.   :icon_sunny:

I'll be out this spring....or sooner. We've had almost 20 inches of rain this month. That's washing a lot of gold out of the hills. I know of a good creek that is supposed to be good for nuggets.

I try it from time to time in Az but just get a couple flakes panning. It's fun and cools you off on a warm day playing in a tub of water.
