JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR....
« on: October 21, 2014, 07:40:52 PM »

after spending I don't know how much money with trying to drill holes in glass and slices, almost given up, I tried one more avenue. I hit EBAY for diamond drill bits not hoping to really score but did  explore any way. Well I came apon what looked like a joke of a deal. 10  1/8 in. diamond pregnated  tipped bits. all 10 for just five dollars and fifty cents including shipping. After laughing for a few days, I went and bought the deal.
Yeah, go figure they were in China and it would take a few weeks to get here . ahh, what the heck... Well yesterday they came in the mail. Nothing to look at by far, these 10 little bits, but,,, and I have to say this again BUT...THEY ARE THE BEST THINGS I HAVE BOUGHT IN MANY A DAY. I am still on the second of the 10 bits and I have drilled over 300 holes today, all under water and I cant kill these guys. I don't know how they did it but they did a wonderful job making these bits and am going to buy another 20 bucks worth this week. Heres a shot of the bit and just something to think about when you need dumb stuff.

mhestore2009   is the sellers name on Ebay. I cant link it to this post for some reason. But it looks like they lowered the price to  2.99 for ten bits with free hipping. How do they do that?

thanks Jrags
from what I've seen as the sellers pop up and then disappear, I would guess a lot of it is overproduction because there will be a glut of something then it's gone

I spent another 20 bucks worth of those little pretties today. Got 200 plus holes out of another one of those bits. Truly wild.  I have  a bunch more holes to do and at these prices, I am in hole heaven.  I did find however, some glass is harder than others and I wont get the numbers I am now but still, if I can get 20 or more out of just one bit on this youghiogheny glass, I'm still amazed.
