I had to go hounding in the middle of this post and again I had problems with it when I came back. Hope it works this time. I am about over it.
I have had the idea to do this for a long time but at first I was going to use sagebrush. I think I can make the stone work.
People that like custom knives "I hope" will like these. This is a trial run with a plain knife and a not so fancy stone. The ones I have planned will be made using jade. I have not finished the hole yet but you can see where I am going with this. The plan is to use the steel epoxy that is in the stick form. I will work the putty until it is ready, push it into the hole then stick the knife into the putty and hold it until the putty sets up. A light coat of oil on the knife will keep it from getting stuck or glued into the hole. The hole in the stone will probably have to be drilled for a specific knife which should be the only draw back.
There is a custom knife shop 20 miles from here so I will take some samples to show like I did with the e-cig holders. Sold five of those by the way to the first store I went to. Sold them too cheap but I need to see if they are going to sell. I keep coming up with all these ideas, make a bunch, end up selling a few then forget about them because I do not like doing the selling part. Guess I need to hire a salesman so I can make even less per piece or just give them away so I do not have to do anything with them.
This is a piece of feldspar with green something mixed in with it. Frank made a bead/pendant with some of this material and I need to show it off. He posted it on the old forum but it should go up here also. I actually wear it which is rare for me. Babble, babble, babble get with the program here.

I guess I should have worked a little harder on the background of the photos. I will do it better when I get it and a couple of others finished.
