The new material I found
« on: November 10, 2014, 06:27:37 AM »

Here are some photos of the rough, a piece off the saw and 2 videos.
I'm still trying to find another piece of it.

That is great material. I want to be in line to buy some if you decide to sell any.

That material is very desirable so keep the location quiet.

Hey Don, I just got a message back on FB from a guy that lives in Sackville and he goes out quite a bit, says to get you to friend him and he'll be in touch. I'll pm you his name
He says he finds the poppy on his side, maybe it migrated over???

Thanks All~
I only have one fist size cobble of the stuff.
It was actially found by my wife's 6 yr old grandson on a walk with her in a pile of rocks along a local river.

I wasn't that great looking in rough form. so she didn't pay much attemtion to where he picled it up. He had a rough idea and I've searched that area extensively without fimding a single other chunk.
Frank has given me his thoughts on what it is. And I'm researching all the geological articles I can find for all of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia for clues of where it came from.
My brain aches (LOL) from all the technical data, but can't find it's source yet.

This is a dead ringer for ocean jasper and is similar to our best Washington material. The geology a bit north of where this was found is identical to ours here, ophiolites. There is great potential for more.
