Granodiorite pendant. You can see how the black and white crystals in the granite are large, which indicates they cooled slowly. The two veins of microgranite are very fine-grained, which means they were injected into this cold granite and cooled very rapidly. 66 mm long, 8 mm hole

I like all of your creations, but this one is exquisite. They all motivate me to go make some beads, but working small is not necessarily easier.

Cool. A geology lesson in a pendant. Knowing how that structure formed makes me like it even more.

You made great use of the characteristics of the stone in your design. It really shows off the character of the material.

Years ago we bought big rolls of this synthetic woven cord. Apparently it has become difficult to find it in decent quality.Glass bead makers often use it around here.It was from B Toucon if they are still around.
