T-eggs

More from the old military road bed!

Colored banding yay! I didn't see it until I'd removed the egg from the vice, otherwise I'd have taken a slab off. I cut the end off this egg, as it was a long hollow one, and the other end had common opal fill with fluff zeolites. Really unique egg.

Typical green-matrix egg with 'snowflaked' (i don't know what else to call the feathering in the agate) fill and a tiny dendrite! I keep hoping for a good big dendrite someday, but for now just a few tiny ones.

Red egg with what I think is an oddly formed calcite fill. Really I have no idea what's in this one.

'Dud' ball of tiny eggs, more or less a 'rainforest' rhyolite. Cut a few slabs for mosaic rock. It's a bit soft, with some pitting.

Last night was 28. Went deer hunting at 5 AM and froze on the 30 minute ATV ride out. No luck on the deer! 60 today, still in the 50's with cloud cover and dead calm.
