Don’tknowite
« on: May 12, 2019, 05:52:09 PM »

I’m not sure what this is, it was collected near Midway, Utah. It’s definitely not Lake Bonneville lake bottom it’s at about the same elevation as the Red Horn Coral and it’s over 300 million years old so I’m guessing ocean floor sediment. Anyone else have a guess or know?
What ever it is great sphere material. This ones for another guy, but have a piece for myself.  4 3/4”
I’ve been making spheres for others lately so I haven’t been posting many I guess I could post the ones I’ve finished.

I imagine a disrupted limestone. Flat pebble conglomerate is a different type of disrupted limestone and I love collecting it.

I've never seen anything like that before.  It's an excellent sphere!

Interesting patterns that really stand out on that sphere.
