Sphere repair
« on: August 11, 2019, 06:27:37 PM »

A friend of mine brought this sphere over to me and asked if I could make it shinny again
She has had it since she was a child. Her grandchildren were bowling with it but it was already beat up when she got it. I think it is a Dolomite. I only lost a 1/4”  in size. Ended up 3 3/4”
First picture is before

I rock hunt in the Antelope/Ashwood area of the John Day river basin in Oregon. 90% of what I post is from this area, from private property where I have permission to hike and collect. The material I find is for personal use only, I do not have landowner permission to sell. Thanks for understanding!

You would never know that it had been a flea bitten sphere by that after picture.  Great job on that!   :occasion14:

Well done, Doctor.  You cured the small pox on that poor sphere!   :icon_sunny:

She picked it up
Last night and accused me of trading spheres because it didn’t look like the one she brought me 😁
