Another Indian Paint sphere
« on: November 10, 2019, 10:09:51 AM »

Indian Paint stone found in a rock pile from a friend of a friend.  Had some help on ID this mineral from the forum, and turned it into a sphere.  While this material doesn't hold a candle to what Blue Wood turned out, I was pleased to have stumbled across the rough nonetheless, as it is getting scarce to find anywhere.  3.1 inch finished diameter.  Wanted to try something a little different so I had fun using Shinola polish to finish it up, on a tip from sphere guy Wes Lingerfelt.

Very pretty!  Lovely pattern on that sphere.   :icon_thumleft:
