Shattuckite?
« on: February 27, 2020, 10:49:27 AM »

Wondering what the brown material is, and the blue, and also some green (I’m guessing malachite?)

And would anyone be able to determine the locality?

Thanks!

Don't know, but any information on hardness, porosity; if possible, reaction to acid. Heaviness for size? If it will work up well, there's some very attractive areas with the blue and brown.

A friend who collects copper minerals visited me a couple years ago and said much of what I thought was azurite in my rough collections was in fact shattuckite. You need an expert.
