Title: Was it an earthquake?
Post by: justme on June 30, 2017, 04:31:16 PM
We had swarm of small earthquake about 30 miles from my house. We had two close by and they came up at our house.

I did not realize at first. A few days I saw the rocks had broken in my driveway. Soon 'rocks' came up to the surface. Some were really pretty.
I realized these were not regular rocks. I had to go to the Internet and figure it out. They were Stromatolites. At first a few showed up.
Soon there were hundreds, then thousands. We had to deal with a car that rear ended by a cell phone idiot. I got to looking around here and they
here too about 10 miles away.

It is had to tell which are pretty most of the time. I wonder if this will hurt the market for Stromatolites? I will not tell the not so nice people
if I can help it.

If there is some body wants to see for themselves, email me. I am in Northern Arkansas.

I hope you can understand this but may not make much sense after a stroke. My thoughts do not translate to words. I think am getting better though.

classification of size,  Like shaking a gold pan larger on top fines on the bottom.
The ground around you has a lot of lose erratics in the top soil.

That seems to be the way thing are working out. The fines are really covering the ground now.
I have been gathering some piles, only as big as I can carry around to wash, at one time.
I have planning on taken some pictures for a friend. He doesn't believe me. If it is appropriate to show here, I will load up some pictures here.

They now are coming up on the side or my county road right next to my house. Actually, it is on my property right of way and some neighbors land to.

For some reason the highways in my county are now falling apart. That is where they blasted the cuts through the small mountains. It looks like the rocks, big and small, are just being pushed slowly out of the walls. It is very strange to see. The county have to use a loader to pick the rocks the up and put on a dump truck. We got a few pieces of the sand stone.

I read they started from the early Hayden zone I think it called. That is about 4.3 billion years ago. They were the first rocks ever created. I am trying to learn this stuff now. Still no answer as why they come to the surface.

I hope I am making since with this.
