Yeah, I have some mookaite that is almost solid red. Its about as close to "burgandy" as any stone I can think of.

Another Burgandy colored stone could be some Arizona pet. wood.

Garnet

Good catch there, perfect color Burgundy! I didn't even think of garnet.

many many many different jaspers are a burgandy color.
too many to list lol!
I see them in the cobbles all the time here in Washington State.
Any river or creek near the coast will have them in them.

some might call a few of these burgundy... NM lolly rock.

very nice clean wire work on that pendant. square wire used? the color is so vibrant.

Thanks! Yes, i used square wire and rounded the edges before polish. That mookaite cab is definitely one of my favorites.

on occasion i will go to our local tropical fish store, you know the kind where you can buy fishes and gravel for your fish tanks? well it is also a good place to buy rough. i picked up about 5lbs mookite for $18.00, what a bargain. i will look over my stash and see if i can find any reds. i really like that pendant.

This is the second time I've heard about fish stores having rocks; a friend found some good labradorite at one. But since I need more rocks like I need more holes in my head, I'm not going to seek them out. But if I'm ever driving past one...
