I just finished this video and thought I might share it. It has been years now and I have yet to get the hang of making good videos or photos of opals

Amateur photography of opals may be frustrating and futile, but it works both ways: it teaches us that images and movies of opals are mostly understatements, but by the same token we learn to guess the real-life beauty from images we're shown.
