The malachite got me back in the game and all the compliments for my polishing has inspired me to work some grueling hours so ya'll have some nice things to look at. Has to be at least three god awful hours a day so ya'll better enjoy this.
The piece that I damaged is pretty much repaired and you can hardly tell that sometimes my brain is broken. I had to go back to the 100 to get it all off.
Front side but it really is a double sided cab though.

Back side or other side and yes that is an excellent heart that showed up.

It is a curved cab too

A fish face cab that almost wasn't a fish when I got done grinding on it.

Back side that I did not finish polishing because there is a fracture I did not want to stress.

A druzzy cab.

Another druzzy cab that I am not sure how I am going to finish. The druzzy butts up to a layered portion that needs polished but there is no way I can do it without messing up the druzzy. Shaky old hands.

Next one on the list.

A small lab cab. The back side has gold lines that flash.

I had this jadeite from Myanmar half finished and tried to finish it on the 3000 soft diamond wheel. Well, it worked for the malachite. Need to step back and do something different. Pretty though.

I am loving the malachite. It hasn't made me sick yet so must not be getting any overspray OR I AM A TOUGH OLD BASTARD. HAHAHA

Looking good. The stones can definitely take up a bunch of energy that is for sure.

Nice to see you playing again. The malachite looks good, as I'm partial to Labradorite its my favorite. Is it from Madagascar?

The lab is probably from Madagascar because the guy I got it from had gone either there or Myanmar or one of those places. I cut it for him for shares. The jadeite came from the same place.

:) Does not work that way, I'm afraid. Neither country has both material. :icon_sunny:
I presume Madagascar because of the colour-strenght. Its nearly as strong a Spectrolite.

I might believe it's because your a tough guy. :icon_rr:

looks like they benefited from all the hard work; real beauties :headbang:

Gorgeous rocks Jim! I particularly am impressed on the shine on the druzy piece of Malachite. Also, great flash on the labradorite!

 Man this is some serious eye candy here

Thanks all, you are giving me a red face cause I am shy. HAHAHAHAHA
I didn't like the look of the fish face in the photo so I went over it again and again with some great results. Shines as good as any of the others.
I have been working on the next one in line and the 3000 diamond soft wheel has to be the lucky answer. Because of it's softness it looks like the grooves and bumps on the velcro pad are not going to be compatible with this stone at the higher grits.

It's probably just me, cuz I'm twisted, but that fish head looks like a turtle head to me. :icon_scratch:

Ya know, I am always getting the two of them mixed up. Actually three. I thought one of my stones looked like a raptor and sure enough, it was a turtle. From now on everything is a turtle including the wolf head that turned out to be a cow. Gunna half ta start cleaning my glasses first I guess. Good eye hummmmmm.

They all look good. I did not know that you could find drusy on Malachite. Thanks for showing that.
