Depends on what you are looking for.  Lots of folks (including me) are willing to swap rocks so you just have to pay postage.  Your local rock club and shows put on by local rock clubs are good sources.  Depending on where you live there may be regional shows that are good also.  You in SoCal?

I enjoy getting slabs online from Blairrock.com.  Very inexpensive and a nice variety.

I just checked out Blairrock and their prices are pretty good. I'll be shopping there later. Thanks.

Also check out the Buy/Sell/Trade section on this forum. Sometimes our members list slabs & rough to sell or trade.

Some February you should gather all the cash you can find, sell the family jewels etc. and go to Tuscon, for rough stones from everywhere on the planet.  Plan on coming home broke, but rock rich

That would be ideal, but I'd suggest you stop off at Quartsite on the way to hitting Tucson - runs around the same time, but better prices. Hit both shows. If that seems beyond what you can handle, you can wait for a show in your area. Rock and Gem magazine maintains a list of many shows for the U.S., Canada and Australia on their website: Show Dates
