Starting the week off right :-)

I was going to go out beach hunting this morning before work but woke up a bit late for that so I went down into my space and started on these a morgan hill poppy, tigers eye and a piece of moss agate. I thought I had taken a photo of the rough pieces before i started but must have been half asleep still or something(lets go with the "or something" haha) anyway so heres a pic of them already shaped and started to the sanding process. As I sanded down the morgan hill I noticed some fractures to one side so that got put aside. The tigereye seemed to have visible fractures but after several whacks with a small hammer and multiple drops on the cement floor i decided it wasnt to bad after all. ;-) I wanted to do something a little different with the piece and since it was a very thick slab I wanted todo a high domed style to show off the crazy chatoyancy inside it and to just really keep challenging myself as much as possible. So much to learn and so little time!! :-)
