You could probably easily polish those two stones by putting them into your tumbler with some smaller stones and the grit you mentioned.

These are much too large for my tumbler (dual 3 lb barrel). Did you see the penny for the size comparison?

Yes I saw the penny.  I have seen stones as big as these and larger tumbled.  It depends on the tumbler of course.  Might be a touch much for a 3lb but a 5 lb could probably take it.
I may try putting the smaller one in there as it's more round than the one on the right. As for companion stones in the tumbler with it do you have any suggestions as to what size and what type of stones I could put in there to aid the process of the larger rock? The local rock shop sells rough rock for tumbling and has many types: Apache tears, jasper, mixed agate and quartz, etc

I also have quite a bit of quartz I brought back from Lake Superior. Whats a good strategy for tumbling larger stones in a 3LB tumbler? I would assume that you would put the larger one in and then find stones of another size and essentially stair-step the sizes down so that the mix will still cascade in the barrel? I'm new to tumbling.

Yes.  You want mixed stone sizes.  I would certainly make sure you have a lot of smaller stones in the barrel as that will help.  Gives the grit more surface area to work and allows for tumbling action.

Welcome, agates are pretty hard, some inexpensive diamond wheels for Dremel.  Good quality for price.

Large diamond files are good to work a flat service.  I've even taken larger diamond bits and used them with a drill press for grinding.

Hey Rockhound, welcome!  Love the agates you posted, they definitely pique the interest-  Had anyone mentioned rock dust?  Whatever method you use, be careful about the rock dust, that's how COPD shows up.  You will want to polish wet for sure.
