Beginner's jade
« on: October 19, 2015, 06:22:28 PM »

I took someone from this forum out for a geology lesson last week as well as a bit of rockhounding. She found a ridiculously nice piece of jade.

Didn't you say something just the other day about never having found one without the whitish skin?

(Thanks again so much for such a wonderful day! It was beginner's luck, I think.)
Polar? That must have traveled quite a distance.

I had learned before that "polar jade" could be found in Washington State and BC.
I just now read that the term was copyright by Canada, not necessarily where it was found.
