Need a Place to Stay for Quartzite and Tucson?
« on: January 02, 2016, 08:50:56 PM »

OK for all of you coming this direction for the upcoming Quartzite and Tucson shows...

I have limited space available.   I am more or less halfway between Quartzite and Tucson.

I have my RV spot reserved for Helene and her friends who are coming.  I might be able to squeeze in a small camper into the area as well.

I still have one spare room complete with it's own bathroom open ($50 for a week, it's also a king sized bed so a good place for a couple to crash.), plus camping potential in my fenced in back yard (free) you just have to bring your own camping equipment since I have none.

I do have a hose spigot on the RV/camping side of the house for running water, and extra showers inside that can be used.  Though if you plan on staying longer than a week I'm going to ask for some cash towards water usage.  We are on town water and it does cost money.  Also this is the desert, we do get rain in winter (more so this year with el-nino) so bring the proper protection for your camping gear for potential rain and also cold nights as we have been getting more of those than normal.  My back yard is bare ground, so it WILL get muddy if we happen to get a lot of rain in a short time period - I have no grass and we are still slowly installing landscaping.

I won't be attending Q or T every day or weekend, so you will also need your own transportation - if I'm heading that way I will gladly give a lift.  I usually go with Gina.  My Husband will sometimes agree to go and he drives an Equinox, but that doesn't happen often, he's just not a rock guy(and I don't drive his car!).

PM me or post here if you're interested in crashing here for a week or two.    Y'all can also hound my yard - I have all sorts of fascinating rock coming up out of the dirt and I didn't even put it there!  It came with the place as the builder must have been creative in where they got their fill from because it's loaded with funky rocks!

Oh and I have plenty of coffee, tea, and hot cocoa to share with interested parties, and a cattle dog mix that cannot hold her licker.   :toothy10:
