Big G goes to the beach
« on: January 03, 2016, 06:45:44 PM »

Gergis and Jojo were up to the island for the weekend. Lots of cutting and a trip to the beach. This afternoon was the beach trip as the tide was not too bad and going out all afternoon. We took photos from three spots but they are all views of the Olympic mountains on the peninsula or the many San Juan islands across Admiralty inlet from the peninsula. The Canadian Vancouver island part Is out of the picture because the light was so faint. Lots of jade and grossular garnet. The walker picture has a piece of light blue jade in it. The skin is white and it is lying  next to the crab leg where the crab would be if it had not been eaten. This shot shows my typical view of the beach lately , bent over through a walker.Good trip with a friend.

Beautiful pictures.  Some day I would love to be able to hound pebbles like that.   :icon_sunny:

Me too.
Across Admiralty Inlet? Then you can see my family's house on the cliff overlooking the Inlet ferry dock, that my slim ball brother stole from me.
But great photos...they bring back many good memories

Gorgeous views, awesome rocks, good friends.  If it wasn't about 30 degrees below my comfort zone it would be perfect!

Gorgeous photos! I was wondering what the cold would do over there. Some lovely chilly clear days.
