Cabochon Sue here - Sue from Georgia. I started about 4-5 years ago and cut only Koroit for 2 years. I learned from the internet and trial and error, lots of error and still learning.  :icon_cheers:

Welcome to the forum from Northern Arizona. Koroit is my all time favorite boulder to cut -- I just love it, mess and all.  My husband and I both started cutting opal and branched out from there.  We're self taught, too, so know all about trial and error.  Glad you joined us.  Post lots of pictures!   :glasses9:

Welcome. This is a great forum.  A little slower than most but I like it that way, and the people here are top notch.  The ammonite was great and I'd love to see some more pictures of your work.  Trial and error...I think we all know a little something about that!  I've only been cutting rock for a few years myself and I'm mostly self taught also.  Although I learn tons from great forums like this one.
