Unusual looking agate
« on: April 30, 2016, 08:48:37 AM »

Help? Picked up a small boulder of this stuff yesterday when I bought some used slab saws. I was in SW Oregon, but the rock may have come from elsewhere. It has some opaque areas and some translucent areas.

Thats a hydrogrossular garnet/vesuvianite/diopside mix I believe. I've seen rough from both Oregon and Washington that is similar.
