Beautiful carving!   Really pretty opal too!   How big is it?

Good looking carving! And and really nice opal. I, too, want to know how large it is.

Lovely visual balance! It reminds me of mother-of-pearl, the way it seems to be a natural organic shape, but carved from opal instead of generated within an organism. Gorgeous!

I rock hunt in the Antelope/Ashwood area of the John Day river basin in Oregon. 90% of what I post is from this area, from private property where I have permission to hike and collect. The material I find is for personal use only, I do not have landowner permission to sell. Thanks for understanding!

Nice carving allot of work went into that I'm sure.  How many hours do you have into it?  What diamond grit did you take it to?
