Anyhoo...One of the trips that I am planning on doing this summer is to the Madras Pow Wow. I have been there once before and I had really liked the trips that we took plus being able to hit the Richardson's Ranch afterwards. Just read up on the planned trips this year. Looks like they are not having a field trip on the Thursday this time. Friday is a trip to the Richardson Ranch (cool, but something that one can do on their own), a trip into Wegner Canyon for limb casts (never been there before so that might be neat), then sunday to the McDonald Ranch for wood and eggs (collected wood there before so I really do not need anymore but never got eggs there so that might be neat) and then to Friends Ranch for eggs (never gotten those before either). Not sure about the Wegner site, but the others are fee digs. Being that I am driving a good distance to collect, I would like to be able to venture out somewhere to collect without having a fee to pay. Don't know that area well myself. Anyone with knowledge of the Madras area know of any good free sites? Not asking for your personal honey holes, (but not opposed to you sharing em
....but if you do, PM those spots so that the whole world doesn't find out) Appreciate any input
