"Mineral Information Layer" map website

Has this been posted before? I found it while looking for something else.
Select your county in the drop-down box and then filter for 'gem materials' in the commodity box and it will show claims for jasper, agate and thunder eggs. There are also filters for precious metals and other mineral resources. Very interesting data, though naturally most of what it shows is drawn from claim info I think, so probably everything marked would be assumed to be on private property or not for public access. Still an interesting overview of locations and what's been found where! There was an odd marker for 'coal' in a nearby location, so I'm on an internet scavenger hunt to figure out where that information came from (because actual scavenger hunts are off the table until hunting season is over.)

I rock hunt in the Antelope/Ashwood area of the John Day river basin in Oregon.
