Hummingbird is a female!   :laughing4:

I do know what bocci ball is; I grew up in Chicago.  Lots of Italians in Chicago.  As a matter of fact, I went to school with the Capone girls (yup, them Capones).  Don't like cigars, tho, so it's all yours.   :occasion14:

Bocci is the game the bad boys from the mob play , a traditional Italian american game for when they are tired of whacking people. I can say that because I'm Italian American and half my family was in the mob. That alone was good enough reason to move out west. One of my best friends here was in the same position so he changed his name and moved out here. Watch who you are playing with when you cheat at bocci ball.

And I thought humming birds were male and female. Hard to tell them apart by just the letters. :icon_tongue: :angel9: :laughing6: :icon_jokercolor:

This sure turned into an interesting ID thread.

I'm the "other" hummingbird stones. My scrabble-board username is the Aztec word for hummingbird stone. It sure doesn't help clear up any confusion. Am not Italian, have never played bocci, and where I grew up the "gangsters" were all huddled around a moonshine still. Am very lucky the hummingbird who started this thread migrated west from Chicago.

Yeah, we think so too, Jim. I think we all actually met very briefly at Q last year, but in that big crowd at Tony's it's always difficult to remember. Oh wait, I forgot - I have trouble remembering anyway... .
