Refurbishing Diamond Wheels - Questions
« on: December 11, 2016, 01:01:38 PM »

The old forum had this thread on refurbishing diamond wheels: http://gemstone.smfforfree4.com/index.php/topic,4184.0.html

Partway into the discussion it was suggested that linear polyurethane would be a better choice for the binder than the more brittle epoxy.  I have not seen any further discussion of the topic so I would like to pose the following questions:

Has anyone used either the epoxy or the linear polyurethane to refurbish wheels? Better yet has anyone used both? If so what have been your experiences? Does one work better than the other? Which one? Why?

I use the 220 epoxy. works great! Just don't pile it on thick!
