Too Much Jade
« on: October 12, 2014, 09:38:30 AM »

Another opportunity for a quick jade trip presented itself Friday when I was informed that we needed to make an emergency trip to the grain elevator. This allowed a trip to Costco and a trip to a special nursery for a signature tree for the front of my house as well. We began at the jade stream and I struggled with the pain. I could not pick up anything nor could I carry anything but my eye was right on. I have found hundreds of  small pieces of jade in two hours in this stream in the past but the water was so low that the jade boulders of great size were showing mostly buried by other rocks and all covered in part by thick algae. The best jade here is blocky not flatish platy and schistose and we found tons of blocky jade . The big pieces are still there of course but we got some decent sized piece which will get cut when the weather gets bad. A real highlight was the ten foot tall sweet gum tree we got for the yard for a very low price and yet it was very well grown. A good day.

Looks like great fun had by all!  However Packlithic does not look happy in the picture.  In fact she looks exhausted!   :icon_sunny:
I hope she got some rest after all the Jade fun!   :headbang:

Looks like a nice outing Frank, maybe too much cold water on the joints eh? I agree, your helper looks like she is dreading carrying that load LOL. I hope you gave her a good massage afterwards LOL

There you are Jim
Kind of like poking a bear by the looks of her face Frank; better not push her too hard, or are you trying to use up some brownie points??
My daughter is the same; will do anything for me if I ask, I don't. her brother is a different person entirely, he thinks the world owes him a life and he's here to collect LOL, 31 years old and still hasn't got it figured out.....
