Pop up adds everywhere all the time on my screen when i am on this forum. are others having this problem also?

Nope I don't have that problem.  Congrats you've picked up a virus or malware somewhere.  You will need to run some good antiviral on your computer to clean it.
Maybe Packlithic can get it taken care of for you.

You might need a pop up blocker or an Ad Blocker  Frank ! Do a google search for them .

If he has Firefox he can install Ad Block Plus.  It's a miracle worker.

Right now when you read this, press and hold the left ctrl & shift buttons (HOLD THEM DOWN) then hit delete once.
now in the drop down menue select EVERYTHING and hit enter or clear now.

The problem has to do with Firefox getting reset by ads.  The fix is to reset firefox back to the factory settings.  Very annoying, but fixed (again).

I use Firefox and have not encountered that problem.  I installed Adblock plus which is a Firefox ad-on and it works like a charm.

I use Firefox since it came out and all I ever had was AVG Free. Never had any problem with popups ever despite on being in questionable sites from time to time.  I think, quite a lot of add on's and viruses come precisely with all those "solutions" that your folks download in the name of security.

There is a standard setting someplace in there for not allowing pop ups, I don't remember if that is a default setting or not but my guess is that is what fixed the problem for him.
