Sometimes you get lucky(crumbly slabs)
« on: August 30, 2017, 02:23:14 PM »

when it comes to brecciated jasper? it is a hit/miss game
you want to see whats inside, but you also do not want to waste your time on a crumbly rock.
if you're anything like me?you have to at least cut it once(or twice or three times)
i would like to see other breccia slabs cut,and hear some feedback on this Santa Cruz mt beauty
here is one i just cut today!

Is the larger Brown one a Rhyolite or Jasper?  Hard to tell from the pics but it looks a bit more like a thunderegg.  The high contrast in the White Brown zones can make some striking stones.
