Hello From the Shenandoah Valley!
« on: July 23, 2019, 05:07:44 PM »

Some of you might also know me as LapidaryNewbie from other forums (a ways back, however). In any case, I'm getting back into the swing of things here after a fairly long hiatus. (Of course that's mainly because I'm now retired!) Have done mostly tumbling and making jewelry using standard findings and pre-cut stones. My intent is to not only get back to all of that, to include gradually building my own cabbing machine, do some carving with my Dremel, and learn wire wrapping. Got to do something with all this quartz and other rough as well as cut stones I've been collecting over the past 18 years!

Welcome to the forum.

We don't hear from many people in your area. I didn't know any lapidaries when I grew up along the New River. Then again, I wasn't cutting yet at that time. Moved from there in '86.

Glad to hear you now have the time to really get into it. Please do keep us posted on your projects.
