Newspaper Article - A Sobering Reminder about Safety

Well, this is a sobering situation and a good reminder to adhere to safety standards like working wet, wearing a mask, using good ventilation, etc. etc.

The problem is that once you can see the effects on a scan the person is screwed. They know it is happening so why not procedures like in other wildly hazardous industry like pharmaceuticals ? When people die of silicosis their internal organs have essentially stopped working and they look like walking cadavers. When you make a skate board you wear a tyvek suit with a full respirator  , it is not like there are not lots of industrial examples of how to do it correctly.

The sad part...  most of their work cutting counter tops is done with wet saws and wet sanding. I hear it all the time that people consider wet polishing as safe since the dust goes in the water. But somehow the floors and bench tops always have dust on them. Use a MASK...….  always, even with small trim saws using water
