I lost it
« on: November 26, 2019, 12:39:54 PM »

Does anyone recognize this stone?  I have several nice slabs but I don't have a clue where it came from.  I don't even know for sure that I collected it.  I may have purchased it years ago.  It is jasper. with some small pits.  This piece is 2 1/2 x 3"

Kaleidoscope Jasper Agate maybe...

There are two types of rock being sold as Kaleidoscope Jasper Agate. The one from Oregon is a solid jasper material and probably 6 mohs.  The stuff from Utah is Fluorite and much softer

Plasma agate makes sense.  We've done some hounding around Clear creek over the years.  Just random stones, so it would make it logical I would not remember any particular rock.  Thank you.

Not pietersite, it is strictly jasper.
