Stone Canyon Agate

This is believed to be a piece of Stone Canyon Agate.  Got it from Jim Jeffries in Oregon.  3.6 inches.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that it is not Stone Canyon material.  Not sure where it is from but not Stone Canyon.

I don't know Stone Canyon like Steve does, but I have never seen material from there with the appearance of your sphere.

The center of the "side" pictured looks like some kind of wood to me. Have seen a good bit of wood where cracks and cavities were infilled with agate like that.

I thought the same thing when I looked at the downloaded image was the floaters in the clear sure looked like wood bands or structure.

Some type of brecciated jasper with something interesting going on in the center of your sphere.  Nice looking but not the type you find in Stone Canyon, which is a jasper.
